GAUSS Dataset Resources#

The GAUSS (Geoengineering Assessment Using Stratospheric Sulfur) dataset provides climate model simulations for solar radiation management (SRM) research.

Overview#

GAUSS contains climate model outputs from multiple Earth System Models (ESMs) simulating various scenarios targeted at analysis Stratospheric Aerosol Injection, such as:

  • Control run (SSP2-4.5; no geoengineering)

  • Stratospheric aerosol injection scenarios (3 different cooling targets, different termination scenarios, different start dates)
